I'm totally moving in to the sweet apartment on Friday!!! I'm so psyched!

p.s. L Word started last night :) Life will once again feel right as soon as the planet returns.

my friend stacey is moving back to nebraska, so we have been apartment hunting. after days of seeing crappy apartments that want too much money and think WAY to highly of themselves, we may have found that hidden gem, the diamond in the rough, if you will. seriously the location couldn't be any more perfect:

across the street from a park
2 blocks from the old market
2 blocks from the quest center
2 blocks from the river front
5 seconds from the interstate
5 seconds from dodge street
above a bank

it's also seriously cool, and is pretty much everything we've been looking for AND it's below the price we were willing to spend.

pray we get this one. seriously, i don't think i can live anywhere else.

it's been a while.

hmm...

i still have no job. (okay this is a lie, i work at famous dave's) i still have no REAL job.

i've had a dozen job interviews, but apparently nobody likes me.

i still live in the same crappy apartment and covet the tip top.

my friend MIGHT be moving here in january, and we MIGHT get to move into the tip top.

i have negative money for christmas presents, rent, bills, ect... this month will suck.

still single.

and apparently still pessimistic.

my mom was in town wednesday, and because we had nothing better to do we decided we would pretend i was looking for an apartment and tour these really sweet lofts that are in nodo. OMFG! i MUST find a roommate! These apartments are seriously rad, AND with a roommate, i would pay less than what i pay now for my studio.

Not only are they downtown they are across the street from the sweetest music venue in town, urban outfitters, and american apparel, they also have chalk board doors, big sliding doors that go from floor to ceiling, and lots of exposed brick. On the roof they have astro turf and hot tubs and a projection screen where you can watch movies.

tegan and sara

Tegan and Sara came to Omaha! Can you believe it?! I never thought they would. They played at Sokol Auditorium. I had never been to Sokol before, it was fun. It's an old school gym that they have converted into a concert venue... kinda crazy.

The twins chatted away between almost all of the songs, they were very funny and entertaining and I can't wait till they come out with a new album so they can come back again :)

i just got film developed from Kelka pride and my trip to Denver with the parents. I was a little behind. Most of the photos turned out really really grainy, which sucks. But there were a few really great shots. This was my fav:



It's of a sculpture by Claus Oldenburg called "The Big Sweep" that stands outside of the Denver Art Museum.

After my depressing post below, I decided I'd drive an hour to go see my bff and his bf. It was so much fun. It had been over a month since I had last seen him. We danced around and made videos of us singing songs from grease :)
