today, i'm in portland oregon. i will be here for a week and a half. portland is so much better than kearney in so many ways. here are a few:

• there is a movie theater where you can drink beer and sit in couches
• the above mentioned movie theater also showed the oscars (that's right you can go to a movie theater to watch the oscars)
• i ate at a restaurant that wrapped my leftovers in tinfoil and shaped it as a cat
• i spent 3 hours in a bookstore today, because it is 4 stories tall and takes up an entire city block
• there are so many more things to take photos of
• IKEA
• you can take your dog into nearly every store!
• if i want to, i can go to a movie theater and see an indie film
• tolouse lau-trec exhibit at the art museum
• we can walk to the grocery store, video store, or any downtown shop from my friend's apartment
• places are open after 10pm
