I saw Brandi Carlile last night in a country bar in the middle of a casino in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Not the kind of location that you would expect to see a fucking amazing show, but it certainly was amazing. Brandi was having a blast, and you could tell that from the get go. Concerts are always better if the people giving them are having a good time. They played for two hours playing songs they're thinking of recording for the new album, their old favorites, and covers of classics from the likes of Johnny Cash and Elton John. It was probably the best concert I have ever been to.

I was at that show as well. It was freaking amazing. I absolutely loved her and the band. You are right, they seemed to be having a great time. Though the "Roadhouse" is quite a dump the show was fantastic.
wasn't it though? gosh, who would've thought? a bar in a casino! so glad i went :)
